XBOX APP, to IMPROVE GAMING in WINDOWS
As the event continued, it was obvious that Microsoft is moving towards the other products...and I'm glad to hear they talked about Xbox gaming as part of an integral key in Windows 10 ecosystem.

XBOX App |
With Xbox exposure in gaming, improving PC's gaming becomes a natural course of direction to take...by deeply integrating Xbox capabilities into the operating system. A new Xbox app lets you chat with your Xbox Live pals, view your achievement information, or access game DVR clips. The app also lets you like, share, and comment on game clips.
Microsoft also believe that people want to share their game experience with their friends, believing that social is important (partly why the company is willing to spend a big chunk of money on Minecraft)..and add a new Windows key + G keyboard shortcut brings up an interface for saving snapshots and 30 second video clips of your adventures, which then brings you into the Xbox app to share it.
Microsoft also talked about how DirectX12 will improve gaming performance and also battery lifespan. This is a crucial part as Microsoft believe in gaming on the go...with the better battery lifespan, higher-end games will soon be featuring in mobile devices.
During the event, Microsoft also stressed on how they want to enable more gaming experiences regardless of the device you’re using. Fable Legends players on Windows 10 and Xbox One will be able to play with each other, and you’ll be able to stream your Xbox One games directly to any Windows 10 device, though it sounds like it will be limited to local networks only, similarly to Steam in-home streaming.
And the last part of the event, which I think where Microsoft is trying to tell people: They are innovating....they are changing....they are on the right path. Microsoft brings the future with the last part of their demo in the event.
SURFACE HUB and WINDOWS HOLOLENS
These announcements don't have much to do with Windows 10 but it shows the companies are moving in the direction of creating new categories.
Surface Hub
Before the Surface tablet appeared, Microsoft used to talk about a Surface table device...which was pretty cool but we never hear about it afterwards....on the Windows 10 event, Microsoft brings it back, this time though, it's mounted on a wall like a TV.

The demonstration was definitely pretty cool and makes you wanna have one at your work place.
And last but not least, the near future: Microsoft Hololens
It is one of the most shocking, bizarre, ambitious and futuristic sci-fi announcement: Microsoft brings Holograms to reality, in a way.

Hololens |
Windows Holographic, a set of technologies—a headset, new Windows 10 technology, and a HoloStudio dev app—that brings some insanely intense augmented reality capabilities to Windows. It’s powered by a new processor, what Kipman called a holographic processing unit. It’s equipped with sensors to detect the real world and gestures of the user, as well as holographic sound. It has no wires and doesn’t need to connect to phones or PCs. Holographic APIs are built into all Windows 10 devices, and Kipman invited developers of Magic Leap, Glass, and Oculus to come work with it. He said it would be "available in the Windows 10 timeframe."
There were some great demonstration as well and the Internet go hoo-hah about this piece of device. The one thing that is so impressive is that something that looks so ugly could be so well praised over the internet. At least, it looks like Microsoft is getting this right in comparison to Google's Glass.
