It is indeed a sad day for Anwar Ibrahim but more so it is for the country. Because like what most Malaysians and the international media had said, this looks more like a political games in the country that has gone dirty.

Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop said Australia was disappointed by the decision to dismiss Anwar's final appeal, reported ABC News.
The United States today expressed “deep disappointment” with Malaysia’s decision to convict Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, saying the case has cast doubt over the independence of the local judiciary.
And I think Anwar summed up the whole incident in the most accurate manner, perhaps probably since he was the man being targeted at.
"I maintain my innocence. This to me is a fabrication coming from a political conspiracy to stop my political career," Mr Anwar told the court.
He told the judges: "You have become partners in crime in the murder of judicial independence," prompting them to get up and walk out of the room, AP news agency reported.
South Australian Independent senator Nick Xenophon was quoted as saying that the decision was “a travesty of justice”.
"International human rights groups, international groups of jurists, the International Parliamentary Union, have all said that these charges are trumped up, they're flawed, they're politically motivated,” Xenophon told ABC News.
"It is truly a travesty of justice."
Perhaps we will talk about Anwar Ibrahim for a little while....before something else got our attention, but I urge Malaysians to mark down February 10th, 2015...because this is a dark day for the country.

A day that our judiciary system fail us, where the principle of the separation of power should be upheld by our country. There is not much that I could do, but to pray...this is a trial that should never have...not 16 years ago, not today. We must remember that today, in the face of the international attention, Malaysia Federal court chose to represent the travesty of justice.
