Age of Empires: Castle Siege [Review]

Had been rather busy...work, studies, and life. Well, a lot of things got hold of me but I'm still making time for some simple gaming session. I used to play a lot of football games with my brother and friends.

Anyway, just a month ago, I was blogging about this game that I was playing on my Windows Phone. FIFA 15 Ultimate Team. Well, I've decided to try more games on the Windows phone platform since I'm using one anyway. (a rare choice, but I kinda love it, although I must admit, the lack of apps sometimes drive me crazy).

Well, the recent game that I had is the Age of Empires: Castle Siege

Age of Empires: Castle Siege

I've read a lot of negative reviews on the game and I understand why. I think it's impossible to compare this one with the Age of Empires that most people have come to love...instead I think Castle Siege intends to be a game that helps one to chill a while, something similar to Clash of Clans and I think it's good from that perspective.

When you start playing, you will get to select your civilization:

Some simple description of the civilization chosen

The objective of the game is simple....build a strong castle and defend it, and build armies to attack others to get more crowns.

Well, I started off with very limited resources and things are looking pretty okay now.

Anyway, I think the best part about the game is that it's really smooth on the phone. No glitches and the graphics are cute and cartoonish. Probably not to the liking of some others but it fits in the game content and purpose. I managed to organize an attack before breakfast...it's great and there's also a replay if your Keep has been attacked.

I also like the idea how I could play the game both on my phone and my laptop...it feels exactly the same except for the bigger screen on my laptop. Hopefully, there'll be more apps and games like that in the coming Windows 10 release.
