The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box.
Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments. Packed with the series' signature deadpan wit and bad-ass attitude, "xXx: RETURN OF XANDER CAGE" will raise the bar on extreme action with some of the most mind-blowing stunts to ever be caught on film.
Rating: 2/5
If it wasn't for Vin Diesel, I probably wouldn't have gone for the movie and I regretted going for it. The plot was silly and the action scenes were far-fetched. It's dumb to be sitting in the cinema for 110 minutes for the entire show.
The beginning of the scene itself was already questionable when Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson) seem to be talking about some nonsense about being a hero with Brazilian footballer, Neymar (I never really like Neymar). I think it tries to replicate some of the success from Samuel L. Jackson talking scenes in Avengers and Kingmen but this was utter rubbish.
Enter Xiang (Donnie Yen), Serena (Deepika Padukone), Hawk (Michael Bisping) and Talon (Tony Jaa). They stole the Pandora's box in a very cool fashion; The fighting scene is really all that stand out but really, it's way too fake and unbelievable.
Apparently, this Pandora's Box was very powerful and has the ability to cause the satellites to fall from sky.
After the Pandora's Box was stolen, enter Xander Cage (Vin Diesel). Together with new group of rebellion, thrill-seeking and adventurous bunch of pals, namely, Adele Wolff, super sharp shooter (Ruby Rose), Nicks (Kris Wu), Tennyson Torch (Rory McCann). Even the introduction of these characters felt like it's taken from DC's supervillain movie, Suicide Squad. And if that was bad, this is worse.
Of course, there were some pretty interesting and sexy scene as well with Ainsley (Hermione Corfield) in bikini as well as Bollywood's superstar, Deepika.
Not forgetting the adorable, cute and funny nerd, Becky Clearidge (Nina Dobrev).
If you love some kick-ass fighting scene between American muscle, Vin Diesel, and Chinese kungfu kick, Donnie Yen, it's definitely a must-watch for you. If you think sexy and hot girls in a movie is a must, xXx also passed this requirement. Lame and lousy story line aside, the movie has some serious action in it. That's where the two stars come from. Jokes are bad, lines are seriously dull and the story line is unbelievable fake.

The Return of Xander Cage is easily one of the most bananas movies I've watched this year. And I mean that in the best possible way. Much like the Fast & Furious franchise, this movie plays like an unintentional parody of action movie nonsense turned up to eleven. Physics be damned. Logic be damned. Just turn off your damn brain and enjoy the ride. Also start creating a drinking game immediately. It's that kind of movie.123 movies
