Moyes sacked, Giggs step in

As mentioned in my previous post: The Time Has Come For a Change, I believe that Moyes time at United is over. For a team that won the League almost 24 months ago with 89 points, it is difficult to accept the current result from the works of Moyes...after 34 games with only 57 points...it's not difficult to see why Moyes is sacked.

So, what's next?

With Moyes out of the picture, Giggs step in and named as temporary United boss.

Giggs taking over from Moyes

Manchester United's most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent replacement is found.

The 40-year-old, who is studying for his Pro-Licence, has made a record 962 appearances for the club. He has won 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League titles since making his debut in 1991.

According to reports, he will be assisted by his former teammate Nicky Butt, who had been working with United’s reserve team.

United are yet to announce whether they will keep the rest of Moyes’ coaching staff, including assistant manager Steve Round, first-team coaches Phil Neville and Jimmy Lumsden and goalkeeping coach Chris Woods.
