Giggs and Manchester United holds talk over future

With the appointment of Louis Van Gaal seems likely to be completed soon, there is a lot of questions over where Giggs will be in this plan.

Giggs was installed as interim boss for the final four games of the season following the sacking of David Moyes, but United have not been swayed by a groundswell of support for him to be given the job full-time.

What next for Giggs?
United will consider offering him a one-year playing contract at the age of 40 but have insisted all along that the new manager will not be forced to include the Old Trafford icon in his backroom team.

However, every effort will made to retain Giggs in some capacity – along with Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and, possibly, Phil Neville – to provide continuity at the club. After all, the prospect of having the Class of 92 leading Manchester United will give a good marketing and PR marks to the Glazers.

But Louis Van Gaal might not agree with this and there is no guaranteed Giggs will be happy with a reduced role as well after a taste of management.

So, what next for Giggs? Will United go for Van Gaal or their own legend who has no experience at top level management?
