Microsoft ready to reveal more about Windows 10

There will be more about Windows 10 today. Microsoft is ready to show the world more about the future direction that they are heading.

Windows 10

And it might run everything...from your phone to the game console!!

There is also a new web browser that is expected to replace the out-of-place Internet Explorer....rumoured to be known as Spartan.

It is believed the new browser will look more like Google's Chrome browser, and be faster than IE.

'Microsoft is building a new browser, codenamed Spartan, which is not IE 12 -- at least according to a couple of sources of mine,' said Mary Jo Foley of ZDNET.

It is a significant day for Microsoft, so much so that it's known as the next chapter in Windows: Windows 10.

The new idea, that there is one Windows. Not separate versions but one for all...one Windows to rule them all....desktop, laptops, tablets, phones...

Satya Nadella talked about this in July last year.

Can Nadella deliver?

The firm has been developing OneCore – a common kernel, libraries and set of apps – capable or running on phones, tablets and PCs.

The idea is that developers write their app only once, and that said app runs on various flavours of Windows different devices. The win for Microsoft is application ubiquity and its place in the app economy.

It will not be easy for Microsoft to deliver....with Windows Phone falling behind in a distant third behind iOS and Android, there is a lot of WORK here. Windows 8 has been a flop and much is expected of Windows 10.

Are you ready to hear more from Microsoft??
